New Comic Book Day [Open to All]
These days, Audrey can't buy comic books willy-nilly. Her camper's already a crazy mess as it is and a small space that doesn't really brook mile-high stacks of books, but Audrey still enjoys going into comic shops and going through the stacks to see if there's anything particularly interesting. Already, she knows she'll grab a couple blind-boxes because she loves her some super-heroes, maybe a t-shirt, but all in good time.
For now, she's just browsing through the trade paperbacks. Those are a little easier to justify since it's more condensed, plus she gets a little more bang for her buck.
"Hey, do you know if they have the new Captain Marvel trade yet?" she asks, vaguely in the direction of the cashier but open for any to answer.

"The question is if you want to go out in a fiery auto crash, a hail of bullets, or some other way?" Levi asked. It was a very important question. Sort of like a more morbid version of fuck, marry, kill. Which was already morbid because one of the options you had to choose was murder.

"If I ever see you about to wreck your car I promise to blast 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling'," he said. It probably wasn't the song she was thinking of from Top Gun but technically it was in there so... he was safe. "Or did you mean 'Take My Break Away'? Because that would fit in a twisted way."

"You know there was more than one song in that movie, right?" Levi asked, giving her a look. The other songs were equally important to the movie as Danger Zone.

"Alright, fine. I'll make sure that it's Danger Zone," Levi said with a sigh. The look she was giving him was the kind he got when he had pulled someone over to remind them their registration was expired and they thought he was going to bust them for drugs. "But I still think Take Your Breath Away would be a lot more amusing."

"You are very murder oriented in your thought processes, you know that?" Levi asked. It wasn't exactly homicidal, he'd met people with thoughts like that and they weren't pleasant. This was more just... gallows humor. Which he appreciated.

"No, I get it. Girls just want to have fun and all that," he said with a grin. As far as Levi was concerned a dark sense of humor was a necessity in life. A lot of tragedy happened in life, it was important to have coping mechanisms.

And probably not admit that she wasn't even alive in the eighties.

"I am embarrassed to admit how much time I spent going up and down the beaches here looking for hidden caves or half sunken ships," he said with a chuckle. He as pretty sure that most kids around his age did the same thing. His greatest fear was that someone might actually discover something like that and he'd have to live with the idea that he missed it.

She...may have a history of being pushy. Always has been.
"You're pretty fun, for a cop," she teases.

"Oh yes, we know all about that, it's in your file," he said.
There was no file. At least not that Levi knew about. If she had a record then she may have one but it probably didn't have that bit about her friend. Probably.
"And wrong, I'm pretty fun for anyone. I'm exceptionally fun for a cop."

"You've caught me. I'm the fun police. Clearly you're fun so I'm not even going to have to issue you a warning this time," he said, giving her a smile. It was nice when someone didn't mind joking around with the police, they rarely got that sort of reaction from someone.

"Nope, it's too late. You're already sentenced," he said, shaking his head. "You're do perform at least 5 hours of community service this week. So that's a minimum of doing something fun for five hours. And don't think I won't know if you skimp out."

Hell, she's got four gigs in the next three days so she's probably more than set.

"Name the time and place," Levi said. It would be fun to get out and go with Lara. At concerts enough people were thinking all the same thoughts it wasn't quite as painful.

"I think I've heard of your band before," Levi said, glancing at the webpage before typing it in on his phone and favoriting it.
